Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) was established by the Government of India at Berhampur, Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram, and Tirupati to integrate and promote interdisciplinary science education and research. IISERs invited applications from the eligible candidates for the academic programmes ( 2024-25)

Academic Programmes (UG-PG)

For the undergraduate programs, IISERs offer admission to courses leading to BS-MS (Dual Degree) and BS Degree Engineering Sciences and Economic Sciences (offered only at IISER Bhopal)Programs. All admissions are only through the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT)

Eligibility

• The candidates must have passed the Class XII or equivalent level examination in 2022 or 2023 or 2024 from any board recognized by the Council of Boards of School Education in India COBSE.
• Candidates must have taken at least three subjects among Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics during their Class XII (or equivalent) examination.
• Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD require to score a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade in their Class XII (or equivalent) examination. Candidates belonging to other categories require to score a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade in their Class XII (or equivalent) examination.

Procedure of Admission
*IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) is the only channel of admission.
*Candidates seeking admission must appear for a computer-based IISER Aptitude Test
(IAT-2024).
*IAT-2024 will be conducted on Sunday, June 9, 2024, at 9:00 AM, at various centers
across the country.
