Undergraduate Programme:

Admissions for 2017 The Indian Institute of Science Bangalore, a leading institution of higher learning with a strong tradition of research, offers a four-year Bachelor of Science (Research) Programme which is designed as a balanced blend of core science and interdisciplinary topics to serve as a platform for attractive career opportunities in academia and industry. Students who complete the requirements for the award of the Bachelor of Science (Research) degree will have the option of getting a Master of Science degree by studying at the Institute for a fifth year. Applications are invited for admission to the four-year undergraduate programme at the Institute. ELIGIBILITY:

Candidates who have completed their II PUC / 12th Standard in 2016 and those who are expecting to complete their II PUC / 12th Standard in 2017 are eligible to apply. The candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects during their II PUC / 12th Standard. Candidates who have studied Biology, Statistics, Electronics, Computer Science, etc., in addition to Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are also eligible to apply. The candidates must have secured a first class or 60% or equivalent grade (relaxed to pass class for SC/ST candidates) in the II PUC / 12th Standard examination. SELECTION Based on the merit list of one of the following national examinations: KVPY-SA [appeared in 2015 and selected for the Fellowship], KVPY-SB [appeared in 2016 and selected for the Fellowship], KVPY-SX [appeared in 2016 and selected for the Fellowship], KVPY-SA and SX Fellows selected through the Empowerment Initiative for SC/ST candidates, IIT-JEE-Main [appearing in 2017 and securing a minimum of 60% (GN), 54% (OBC-NCL), 30% (SC/ST/PWD)], IIT-JEE-Advanced [appearing in 2017 and securing a minimum of 60% (GN), 54% (OBC-NCL), 30% (SC/ST/PWD)], and NEET-UG [appearing in 2017 and securing a minimum of 60% (GN), 54% (OBC-NCL), 30% (SC/ST/PWD)]. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/Person with disability (PWD) and Kashmiri-Migrant (KM) candidates: As per Government of India regulations.

The application fee is Rs. 500/- for GN/OBC/KM candidates and Rs. 250/- for SC/ST/PWD categories. Apply Online for NDA & NA 390 Defence & Naval Academy Posts: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has invited applications to conduct National Defence Academy & Naval Academy (I) Examination 2017 for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA for the 139th Course and for the 101st Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing from 02-01-2018. Eligible unmarried male candidates may apply online from 18-01-2017 to 10-02-2017 till 06:00 P.M.

Age Limit: Candidates should born not earlier than 02-07-1998 and not later than 01-07-2001

Educational Qualification:

For Army wing: Candidates should Pass 12th Class of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University for Army Wing of National Defence Academy,.

For Air Force and Naval Academy: 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University for Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy.

Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination.
