National Library Week Started @ KV No.1 Calicut

National Library Week celebration started at KV No.1 Calicut. Vidyalaya Principal Sh. P K Chandran Inaugurated a week long celebration at seminar hall. In connection with N L W, Vidyalaya library conducts various competitions like bookmark designing, book jacket designing, book review writing, online story writing, story telling and literary quiz. Vidyalaya Vice Principal Sm. Sreelekha Sreekumar presided over the function.



NBT Mobile Book Fair started @ KV No.1 Calicut

Mobile book fair organised by National Book Trust of India started at Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1 Calicut. A variety of books by eminent authors are available in this van with reasonable price. Vidyalaya Principal Sh. P K Chandran inaugurated the book fair. The book fair will conclude on 31st October 2017.

‘Readers Reaching Out’ programme held at Govt. pre metric hostel for ST girls, East Hill

Readers’ Club of Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1 Calicut handed over the books collected under the programme ‘Readers Reaching Out’ to the students of Govt. Pre metric hostel for girls, East hill on 23rd September 2017. Mr. Rajiv Kumar, District tribal development officer inaugurated the function.

Under this programme 450 books were handed over to the inmates of hostel for developing their library. Also the girl students of the Club will visit the hostel once in every two weeks to interact with them and helping the inmates for improving their English language.  Vidyalaya Vice Principal Mrs. Sreelekha Sreekumar handed over the books. Mr. Padmakumar, P T A President presided over the function. Head Master I/C Sh. T.G. Devdas, Project coordinator Mr. Muhammed Shafi V, Mr. KV Rajesh, MR. Manoj Bhaskar, Mr. K. Baburaj, Mr. Gopinath- PTA Secretary,  Mr. Shameer, Tribal Extension Officer also spoke in the function.
